Here is how a Life Path comes from a birth date. Your chart shows this working beside every number.
29 November 1986→11 + 11 + 6= 28→2 + 8= 10→1 + 0= 1
What numerology is
Numerology turns your name and birth date into numbers. Each letter of your name has a value, and your birth date is worked out on its own. The totals fill the positions of your chart, and each position describes one part of you.
There are several systems. Fathomself uses one, the modern Western system usually called Pythagorean numerology, and never mixes it with another. Four numbers sit at the centre of every chart:
- Your Life Path
- From your full birth date. The main lesson your life keeps coming back to. Every other number is read against it.
- Your Expression
- From every letter of your full birth name. The abilities you were born with.
- Your Heart's Desire
- From the vowels in your name. What you want most, underneath what you say you want.
- Your Personality
- From the consonants in your name. The impression you make before people know you well.
How Fathomself reads it
Most numerology online is a template with your name pasted in. We checked. Fathomself writes your reading for your combination of numbers, shows the working beside every one, and gives you the Free Reading to keep.
The Fathomself Synthesis Engine is our method: exact calculation, meanings from the tradition's own books, and writing that reads every number against the others. Numerology's own books often disagree, and a reading built on one author carries that author's habits with it. The engine draws on a catalogued library of 218 works across the tradition and compares what they say about every position in your chart. Where the sources agree, your reading states the meaning plainly. Where they differ, it says so, or it reasons from the wider system and tells you when it does.
Every number in your chart affects the others. The engine reads each number against every other, and against the timing of your life, to find the patterns that belong to your chart alone. That half is the heart of your Deep Report.
Every report is reviewed to our team's standards before it reaches you.
The Deep Report
What your chart says about you, and no one else.
Millions of people share your Life Path. Millions more share your Heart’s Desire. What belongs to you alone is how your numbers work together, and no single number can tell you that.
Your Free Reading reads four numbers, each on its own. Your year is read in your Deep Report: what the year you’re in is for, where it costs you, and each of the twelve months ahead. So are the four positions the Free Reading does not cover, the chapters of your life with the age each one starts, and how every number in your chart works with and against the others.
